Caylan Davenport
My name is Caylan, and I am 30 years old. I was addicted to hard drugs for about fifteen years. I've also been to jail more times than I can count and have been convicted of countless charges.
In October of 2024, I got out of jail and was released to a very strict program for people in recovery. Honestly, I did not think it was something I was going to be able to do, because drug addiction is a hard disease to overcome. It's not only the drugs that you become addicted to, but it's the lifestyle as well.
I've had to rewire my brain to not only learn how to live with things and cope with things without drugs, but also to live a "normal life." I wouldn't have been able to do these things without God by my side.
He has remained faithful and been with me every step of the way. I often feel like I do not deserve his grace or mercy, but he has helped me build my life into what it is today.
Today I've been sober for 16 months. I also pray, talk to God, and read the bible daily. I have completely done a 180, and the credit goes to him.
