Anne

Dear fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, as you read this, I pray it helps you on your own journey with our Lord and Saviour Jesus of Nazareth.

After I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour in the waters of baptism on December 18, 2021, at age 21, He convicted me to consecrate three years of my life when I was 22 to remain single to build my foundation on Him. Now, this was very difficult and countercultural for someone of my age to do, but after spending much time with Him, I knew it must be done because I knew there was a lot of healing that was needed in me for the benefit of others and His Kingdom.

Below I’ve listed some of the lessons I’ve learnt through shedding a lot of tears.
1. God never lies; it is not in His nature or character.
2. Trust and obedience are essential in our walk with Jesus because we are told to live by faith, not by sight.
3. Waiting on Him is better than doing things irrationally.
4. Faith over feelings. Go to God before the world or friends when faced with difficulties. He knows and understands your situation way better than anyone, including yourself.
5. If it is His will for you, it will happen. Nothing can stop it, not even yourself.
6. He keeps all His promises.
7. If you want to accomplish anything in life, you must do it on your knees in prayer.

Not only did I learn these valuable lessons, but He blessed me with my calling, purpose, and insight into who my future spouse is, and much more. A scripture I have come to love through this process is found in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 6, verse 33.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
