Friend of Jesus
Who are you? Do you know? This testimony is dedicated to every drug addict on the face of the earth. I know you're tired of being tired. You don’t have to be a slave to anyone or anything. There is a man who died for you so you wouldn’t have to. His name is Jesus Christ.
You are not using the drugs; the drugs are using you. There’s a hole, a void, an emptiness within you; that void or emptiness is within all of us. God left that void there when we were born because He wants to fill it with Himself, with His Spirit.
Right now, you are trying to fill that hole with drugs. Nothing in this natural world can fill it up. No drugs, money, sex, or any other material things can fill it up. Only Jesus can and will fill it up. Jesus wants to set you free from yourself. If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will become a new creation that never existed before.
We were all born into sin, which means we were separated from God. But Jesus repurchased us when he hung, bled, and died on the cross at Calvary. You must have faith that Jesus died for you. I know it’s hard to believe in someone you can’t see or touch, but that’s what faith is - believing in someone you can't see or touch.
It's impossible to please God without faith. You must recite this sinner's prayer to Jesus. “Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. I believe that you died for my sins so that I could be forgiven. I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for coming into my life, Amen.”
We all have an adversary that despises our very existence: his name is Satan, or Lucifer, or the devil. He hates us because God loved us. God kicked him out of heaven because of his pride. He wanted to be like God, and the only way that he could get back at God was to deceive lost souls into believing that he didn’t exist, but he does exist.
He’s not a little creature with a red suit and carrying a pitchfork. No, he’s a spirit, an evil spirit. Satan controls the minds of people who are opposed to the gospel or the good news of Jesus Christ. He has blinded their minds because of their unbelief in Jesus and what Jesus did for the whole world at Calvary.
He can appear to be an angel of light but is an angel of darkness, deceiving you. He is the father of lies. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy in any way he can. I was a crack cocaine addict for five years. It was my god; it was my everything until I met Jesus. He didn’t leave me the way that he found me.
He took crack cocaine out of my heart and my hands. For him, it was like taking candy from a baby. No doctor or pills could have done that for me. Only Jesus had and has the power to deliver a person from drug addiction. You are not dope fiends; you are hope fiends.
I get high off of Jesus Christ now. It doesn’t cost me any money; I don’t run out of it, and it doesn’t make me feel bad or hungover. The devil only wants one thing from you, and that is your soul. Your soul, your mind and will. God wants your soul, too, but not to destroy you.
God gave us free will to choose life or death; he (God) will not go against our free will; he doesn’t force himself on us. My prayer for you is that you would give Jesus a try. What do you have to lose?
The only thing that you would be giving up is death. Why sit there and die? Don’t your children deserve to have parents who can love them and take care of them? I cannot and will not believe that you want to stay trapped in drug addiction.
You cannot stop using drugs on your own. It’s because we are no match for the devil, but the devil is no match for Jesus. Right now, you are just out there without any defense, without a savior. Satan will tell you not to believe the things on this page because he wants to keep using you for his planning of your death.
God is no respecter of persons; if he did it for me (and he did), he will do it for you. It doesn’t matter what you have done; Jesus will forgive you, but you have to mean it in your heart. Because he sees into our hearts, I’m living the best life that I’ve ever lived now. It’s not dull being a Christian, or follower of Jesus Christ.
It’s not boring not being a Christian. When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, it was the best decision that I could have made in my entire life. It’s been thirty-three years since Jesus saved me from myself. He’s waiting for you with his arms stretched wide open for you to come to him.
If you do decide to make Jesus your Lord and Savior, and I pray that you will, you will have to ask God to lead you to a church that will teach you about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (or the Trinity). God can and is all three of these because he’s God.
There is one thing that I know about being lost. You didn’t know where you were, and you don’t know how to get back home. Jesus can show you how to get back home. That’s why I entitled this testimony “Who are you? Do you know?”
