Christopher Beck

I was an RN for 15 years and became a hydrocodone addict. After 5 years, I was up to 20 pills per day. Instead of quitting, I turned to heroin, which started an 18-year battle.

I had several overdoses, ten car wrecks, and Covid-19 three times, but God kept me alive through all of these. I shot my last dose of heroin in November 2011, but I replaced it with alcohol and was up to two bottles of wine a day. My taking God's grace for granted ended on May 7, 2016, when I fell in my room while drunk and broke my neck.

I was in the nursing home three years before I got saved, and started watching Times Square Church online. I knew about David Wilkerson because I was in Teen Challenge four times in California. I was in a total of 15 faith-based programs, but never completed any.

It's a shame that I had to break my neck and end up in a wheelchair to get saved, but one day, I'll be able to walk and dance in Heaven!
